Old Technology

June 29 - August 21, 2020
Overview

After months of living through screens, we are thrilled to open our doors again and present art as it is meant to be seen: in person. Old Technology, a group exhibition, embraces materiality and invokes the joy of the tactile. It celebrates the analog and the exhilaration felt in the presence of an art object. The title of the exhibition derives from Chris Martin’s painting of the same name, featured on the first floor: a bright-hued magenta, worked and reworked with collage and glitter elements, it offers viewers a visual journey and enriching experience that nourishes with its presence and encourages time spent looking.

Old Technology also includes works by John Bock, Margot Bergman, Brian Calvin, Anne Collier, Martino Gamper, Ellen Gronemeyer, Bendix Harms, Eberhard Havekost, Richard Hughes, Erik van Lieshout, Marepe, Matthew Monahan, Aliza Nisenbaum, Nathalie du Pasquier, Alessandro Pessoli, Wilhelm Sasnal, David Shrigley, and Francis Upritchard.
