Anton Kern Gallery & Andrew Kreps Gallery at Minnesota Street Project: San Francisco, California

Overview

March 16, 2016 - New York galleries Anton Kern and Andrew Kreps will join forces to launch a temporary gallery space at the Minnesota Street Project in San Francisco on April 28, 2016. 

 

Located at 1275 Minnesota Street in San Francisco's historic Dogpatch district, the Minnesota Street Project is an ambitious community-building endeavor founded by entrepreneurs Deborah and Andy Rappaport that seeks to strengthen the San Francisco arts community and will house artist studios, as well as temporary and permanent gallery spaces. 

 

The Anton Kern/Andrew Kreps Gallery collaborative exhibition will be on on view April 28 - May 21, and present works by Ricci Albenda, Andrea Bowers, Anne Collier, Roe Ethridge, Mark Grotjahn, Eberhard Havekost, Goshka Macuga, Chris Martin, Matthew Monahan, Robert Overby, Wilhelm Sasnal, Michael E. Smith, Hito Steyeri, Padraig Timoney, Erika Verzutti, and Pae White. 

 

Coinciding with the re-opening of SFMoMA, the project is taking place in an especially exciting moment in San Francisco, during a time of renewed focus on one of the most substantial art scenes in the US. 

 

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, April 28 from 5 — 8pm, and the exhibition will remain on view through Saturday, May 21, 2016. The gallery is open Tuesday through Saturday from 11am — 6pm.
